‘Who’s Who?’: The Website

Myself, Mica and Rosie created the following website for the show using Wix.com. Feel free to take a look:

Initially the website we created looked too dark and didn’t reflect the friendliness and light-hearted feel we wanted from the show, so we scrapped that idea and used the background we chose to cover the blue-screen, so as to connect a relationship between the two. Looking into psychology I discovered that colours can subconsciously affect the way we think. This is used in shows such as ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ for example, with the use of a purple background (representing wealth). The same colour theme is used on the website as well as the show itself. Here is the theme we originally had:

Which we later changed to this:

Audience inreractiviy is vital when creating a website for a show. Prime examples would be X-Factor and allowing fans to comment on videos and being able to see behind-the-scenes. This makes the audience feel special and allows them to establish a relationship with those involved, thus feeling part of the show. Having researched into this, we decided to include a competition for viewers to take part in.

I’m aware looking back at it now that on the main page of the site it says daily competition, it should say weekly! Oh well.

It was my first attempt at using Wix therefore it took a while to get to grips with it, but we got there in the end.
